About the BCTDA Investors Meeting
The BCTDA Investors Meeting is an annual event, commencing the BCTDA’s annual budget process. The luncheon provides an opportunity for lodging property owners and general managers to network alongside state and local public officials, hear a business report on the performance of the tourism promotion and development investment, and gain insights into lodging trends and projections from industry research experts.
Since the occupancy tax legislation was passed in 1983, the economic impact of tourism in Buncombe County has grown from $198 million to more than $2 billion annually. This innovative dedicated investment has increased visitation to more than 3.13 million overnight leisure visitors a year.
