BCTDA Annual Meeting 2018

Please join us for the BCTDA Annual Meeting with special guest, Andrew Nelson of National Geographic Travel, who will reveal how his organization inspires travel with “passion and purpose” and how you can inspire visitors to return again and again. Andrew will also share a sneak preview of the recently filmed feature “Asheville by Design” before it airs on National Geographic Travel Channel.
Also, hear the BCTDA Annual Report of destination sales and marketing initiatives and strategic insights from the past year.

PARKING INFORMATION: Complimentary shuttles will be departing from the Vanderbilt Wing sliding glass doors at the Bus Parking. From inside the building, guests will head to the Vanderbilt Wing and take the glass elevator to level 7, where they will see the sliding glass doors.

Keynote Speaker – Andrew Nelson
Andrew is director of editorial projects for National Geographic Travel, contributor and advising editor for the magazine’s new twice-yearly Luxury edition. His multi-platform production with partner Tourism New Zealand was just named one of the “10 Best Branded Partnerships in 2017” by Ad Age.
His work has also appeared in Cincinnati Magazine, Salon, ReadyMade, the New York Times and San Francisco Magazine. The latter featured Nelson’s monthly history column for more than six years. A resident of New Orleans, he is also visiting professor at Loyola University teaching social media, journalism and travel writing.
