Community Service Efforts

The Explore Asheville CVB strives to promote and sustain a community that is both a top destination to visit and a thriving community in which to live.

In 2016, the Explore Asheville CVB launched a CVB Service Day program for staff to volunteer with community organizations. Staff has assisted with lunch service for the needy at Haywood Street Congregation as part of Haywood’s “Welcome Table” program. Staff has also volunteered with Green Opportunities – assisting with new student enrollments, organizing the construction shop, and preparing and serving lunch in the Go Ready Kitchen. Tourism industry partners have supported CVB efforts including generously donating to a sock drive for Haywood Congregation during the BCTDA Annual Meeting, and to the Toys for Tots toy drive at the CVB Holiday Party.

We also recognize our tourism industry partners are making great contributions every day at their businesses, and we’re eager to hear your stories. Please share with us.

Stay tuned as new opportunities arise for tourism industry partners to join in and maximize our collective impact.
