Seasoned marketing professional needed to guide and implement an expansive multi-million-dollar advertising program and liaison with Explore Asheville’s advertising agency of record. The position is also responsible for production of the annual travel guide. Must be an experienced strategic thinker with at least five years relevant experience. A bachelor’s degree is required. The ability to juggle and coordinate multiple projects, attention to detail and outstanding oral & written communication skills are a must. Business Intelligence Manager
Explore Asheville Convention & Visitors Bureau (Asheville, NC) seeks a point person on overall data intelligence and research needs, with an additional emphasis on marketing research and digital analytics. The position will report to Explore Asheville’s VP of Marketing and also work closely with its President & CEO on research projects, consumer research, analysis of marketing and sales efforts, destination insights and economic impacts and other data organization, interpretation, reports and presentations. This mid-level manager candidate should have at least 3 years’ experience, intellectual curiosity and the ability to analyze large amounts of information and extract useful insights and relationships that guide business decisions. The ideal candidate is also skilled at developing easy-to-understand written and visual reports. Must be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Google Analytics is also helpful. A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics or related research disciplines, or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience is required.
